Roller Shutters & Doors
Closes garage, shop and window openings with a shutter you operate by remote.
How it works
The shutter curtain, made of horizontal slats, rolls up into a box above the opening and runs down in guide rails on both sides. A motor does the work; one press on the remote opens or closes it. Fully open, the passage is completely clear. On windows, the box is integrated into the building for a clean façade.
For a window or an entrance?
The principle is the same; the scale and use differ. Choose the opening you want to close.
Rolls into a compact box above the window. Closed, it blocks light and outside view, and in summer it stops the sun before it reaches the glass.
The slat type is chosen per project at the site survey.
Step by step
Press the remote
The motor starts turning the shaft inside the box.
The slats come down
The slats unroll from the shaft and run down inside the two side rails.
It closes
The bottom bar meets the floor or sill and the motor stops at its set limit.
It opens
In reverse, the slats wind back into the box and the opening is completely clear.

Frequently asked questions about roller shutters
The air gap between a closed shutter and the glass reduces heat loss through the window. In summer it stops the sun outside the glass, so the room heats up less. The effect depends on how tightly the shutter closes.
A closed roller door visibly shuts the entrance and acts as a deterrent. Entrances that need a certified burglar resistance class require tested, reinforced systems; mention this during the site visit.
Most motorised shutters and roller doors can be fitted with a manual override crank or a backup power option for power cuts; the equipment is chosen at the site survey. Garage and commercial roller doors use safety equipment that detects obstacles while closing.
Wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth and soapy water; avoid abrasive cleaners. Keeping the side rails free of leaves, dust and sand keeps the shutter running smoothly.
The system chosen, the overall size, colour and finish, the condition of the floor or wall and the installation height all affect the price. The final quote is based on measurements taken on site.
