Frequently asked questions about glass balconies

Consider your balcony shape and opening priorities. For corner or curved balconies and when you want to clear the entire front, folding systems stand out. If you prefer panels not to occupy space inside on narrow balconies, sliding is ideal; for remote-controlled operation, choose guillotine.

Single glazing protects against wind and rain, creating a milder environment than outdoors, but is not designed for heating. If you plan to use the space year-round, choose double glazing with an insulating cavity.

Total glass area, chosen system, single or double glazing, glass and profile colours, balcony layout and installation conditions determine the price. The final price is quoted after an on-site survey.

Simply share your space type, approximate dimensions, and balcony layout with us. Our technical team schedules an appointment for an on-site survey, and your proposal is prepared accordingly.

Alterations to the exterior of an apartment building may require approval from building management or co-owners; we review this together at the site survey.

The system and all equipment used are covered by a 2-year system warranty. Faults resulting from misuse or negligence are not covered by warranty.

In folding systems, panels rotate inward so the exterior can be cleaned from inside. In sliding systems on upper floors, external access may be limited; guillotine cleaning access depends on the model selected. We agree on the right solution for your floor at the survey.

In cold weather with high indoor humidity, single glazing may show temporary condensation, which is common and usually eases with regular brief ventilation. With double glazing, the inner glass stays warmer, minimizing condensation risk.
