Fixed Pergola
A pergola with a sloped roof that stays closed and gives the same shade all day.
How it works
The rear beam is fixed to the wall and the front beam rests on posts, giving a roof that slopes forward. The cover between the rafters is fixed and does not open. The slope sends rainwater to the front. With no moving parts, there is nothing to operate.
What a fixed pergola is made of
No moving parts. The structure has five elements, and they also set the path the rainwater takes.
- 1Wall profileFixes the rear beam to the wall; this is the high end of the roof.
- 2RaftersRun down from the wall at a slope and carry the cover.
- 3CoverStays fixed between the rafters; the material is chosen for each project.
- 4Front gutterCollects the rainwater running down the slope.
- 5PostCarries the front beam; water from the gutter is directed to the ground along the post line.
The slope and number of posts are set from the site measurements.
Caring for a fixed pergola
With no motor or rails, upkeep comes down to cleaning. The main job is keeping the water path clear.

Lighting, side enclosure and colour options are set per project at the site survey.

Frequently asked questions about the fixed pergola
That depends on the cover and the slope. The cover type is chosen per project. With the right slope, water runs into the gutter and is drained from there; with too little, it can pool on the cover. Moisture on the underside in cold weather is usually condensation, not a leak.
On this model the cover is fixed and does not retract. The cover is not designed to carry snow, so don't leave snow, branches or leaves on it. We look at the wind conditions at your site during the survey.
Width and projection, the model, wall-mounted or freestanding installation, the number of posts, cover and frame colour, profile bending on the curved model, and site conditions. The exact price is based on measurements taken on site.
Alterations to the exterior of an apartment building may require approval from building management or co-owners; we review this together at the site survey.
Clear leaves and dust from the gutters and drain outlets, especially in autumn. Wipe aluminium surfaces with warm water and a soft cloth. On a retractable pergola, don't leave a wet cover folded for long; letting it dry extended reduces the risk of mould.
