Glass Windbreak - Başaran

Glass Windbreak

Cuts the wind in outdoor seating areas while the glass keeps the view open.

Catalogue (PDF)

How it works

Each unit has two vertical posts and glass panels. The upper glass panel moves vertically in guides inside the posts: on the manual model it is raised and lowered by hand, on the motorised model it opens and closes by remote control. With the panel up, the airflow is pushed above seated head height. Units are joined side by side to enclose the area.

Which setup suits your space?

See the suitable windbreaker configuration based on how often you operate the glass and your floor setup.

Question 1

How often will you raise and lower the upper glass?

Exact dimensions and whether the planter model needs extra floor fixing are decided on site according to wind exposure.

The matching system will appear here based on your answers.

Motorised

A restaurant terrace with evening wind

When the wind picks up, all units rise from one remote. When it drops, the panes come down and the view opens again.

With planter, manual

Pavement and terrace edge

The planter forms the base and marks the edge of the seating area with plants. Whether extra fixing to the floor is needed is decided on site according to the wind.

Without planter, manual

A seaside villa terrace

On windy days the upper pane is raised by hand, on calm days it is lowered. The model without planter takes up little room.

System options

With planter

A built-in planter forms the base, so greenery marks the edge of the space.

Without planter

Fixed to the floor with mounting feet; the slim design keeps the space uncluttered.

Manual

The upper glass panel is raised and lowered by hand.

Motorised

The upper panel moves quietly by remote control; a multi-channel remote operates every unit at once.

Frequently asked questions about glass windbreaks

The upper pane runs in guides inside the posts and is easily raised and lowered by hand. For large areas opened and closed often, the motorised model may suit better.

Soil in the planter adds ballast, though very exposed spots may still need floor fixing. Wind exposure is assessed during the site survey.

A windbreak is designed to push the airflow above seated head height. Raised balconies and roof terraces with a drop are subject to separate balustrade regulations, so use in these areas is assessed project by project during the survey.

Wipe glass and aluminium with a soft cloth and soapy water; avoid abrasive cleaners. Keeping the guide channels in the posts free of leaves, dust and sand keeps the upper pane running smoothly.

The system chosen, the overall size, manual or motorised operation, colour and finish, the condition of the floor or wall and the installation height all affect the price. The final quote is based on measurements taken on site.
